This lesson covers when proceedings may be closed, when and how appeals go to the Appeal Committee, and duties of member associations and other bodies to implement or request FIFA disciplinary measures. Keep closure grounds separate from appeal admissibility.

• Proceedings may be closed on listed grounds (agreement of the parties, insolvency barriers, disaffiliation, failure to prove the violation, and similar).
• An appeal may be lodged with the Appeal Committee against Disciplinary Committee decisions, subject to express inadmissibility limits (for example certain warnings-only outcomes).
• FIFA judicial bodies may impose additional match suspensions and other measures in defined follow-on contexts.
• Member associations, confederations, and organising bodies have duties to request or adapt measures consistently with the Code.

Exam traps

• Appealing a decision that the Code treats as non-appealable (for example warning-only outcomes where listed).
• Treating closure of proceedings as the same thing as an Appeal Committee judgment on the merits.
• Assuming national associations may ignore FIFA disciplinary requests once a domestic season has started.
